Eternal Security in Jesus

The Doctrine of Satan: Eternal Security

Lucifer

Before we begin, I want to preface this study with my understanding of the proper Hebrew names I believe are correct and I will be using them here unless otherwise noted.

Elohiym: God
Yahuah: God the Father
Yahusha: God the Son (Jesus transliterated from Greek and modernized).
Ruach Ha'Qodesh: God the Holy Spirit

The doctrine, “Once Saved, Always Saved” is false, unbiblical and a Satanic lie, leading many to destruction as we will see. Yet, the doctrine can be true under seven very specific circumstances -- but Satan uses this doctrine to apply to everyone and this is where the lie is! Let's study further to see how-

According to the false doctrine, once a person becomes a Christian, there is nothing that they can do to fall from God’s grace, that they are incapable of losing their salvation. Sounds too good to be true! Is it?

Saved Secure
Saved Secure

Many denominational churches teach that “You couldn’t go to Hell if you wanted to.” because you are eternally secure in your salvation in Christ.

Relax and be comfortable”

This is a false doctrine - It is NOT Biblical.

Satan has led many people to being deceived by this false doctrine.

It’s his job and he does it quite well!

The Bible teaches that a child of Elohiym (God) who is saved CAN fall from grace and lose their soul for eternity in Hell! How can this be? The Scripture shows us and this study’s aim is to search those Scriptures to gain clarity!

We ARE eternaly secure "IN" Messiah yet, we can also lose our salvation. It is an apparent paradox that we will examine in depth because we must find clarity

.

We have eternal security ONLY "IF" we remain "IN" Him (Messiah), meaning:

  1. Faith in Him

  2. In His will

  3. In His Word

  4. In obedience to Him.

  5. His Word remains In us

  6. The Holy Spirit remains In us

  7. We remain In His love

-This is not an exhaustive list

    - As we will see later, this is an on-going process the Apostle Paul refers to as the "Race" that is set before us.

Know you not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain.
1 Corinthians 9:24

Take a look:

First, it is written in Galations 5:4 that trying to be justified by the law results in falling from grace:

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; you are fallen from grace.
Galatians 5:4

This is seeking salvation by our own effort APART from faith and apart from Yahuah's grace. Elohiym does not accept this. We can’t earn our salvation. We are NOT justified by the law unless we keep it after coming to faith in Christ (Messiah) Yahusha.

It is written in James 5:19-20 that a Believer who wanders from the truth is again outside and will die:

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

James wrote, “Brethren, if any of YOU do err from the truth”

Therefore we can conclude that this was written to saved Christians since he called them bretheren.

James then wrote, “if anyone among you,” signifying that this statement is about Christians. A believer CAN wander from the truth!

The faithful Christian, if he converts the sinning brother, would SAVE A SOUL FROM DEATH! This is spiritual death, not just physical as some denomination teach. Lets see about this as we study further.

Please note that this is speaking of a saved believer who wanders from the truth leading to death!

The doctrine of eternal security outright contradicts Scripture, and it is commonly used to justify sinful lifestyles. The “once saved, always saved” appeals to the most carnal desires of the flesh.

What is a sinful lifestyle?

Doing whatever we want and serving our own flesh rather than serving Elohiym – basically laughing at Yahuah’s word and refusing to obey. This is carnal – it is living according to the flesh, not according to the Spirit.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 5:24

For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.
Romans 8:13

Was this written to unbelievers? No. If we live according to the flesh, we will die. What kind of death, just physical as some denominations teach?:

"You are eternally secure and if you sin, God may just take you home early but you'll still be saved."

Elohiym will forgive confessed sin but He will not forgive a lifestyle of sin.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Lets read:

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21

*Emulations would be rivalry or Jealous envy.

Did you catch the part where it said “they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” if we do those things? ... Wait, what about eternal security???

Those who have ears to hear, let them hear!

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 21:8

Ever heard of a white lie? Let me tell you, a lie is a lie. This is why the passage above says ALL LIARS so that there is no confusion. Please examine yourselves brothers and sisters as I examine myself as we all must.

Anyone who tells you you can’t lose your salvation is lying.

End of Part 1

If a pastor tells you you can't lose your salvation without including the the ways you can lose it in that statement, that is not Biblical. They are either one of these three things:

  1. A liar.

  2. He/she misunderstands Scripture and promotes a lie.

  3. Has been lied to and promotes a lie.

One of the common statements of those who promote this doctrine of "Once saved always saved" is that they say that anyone who wants to obey and follow the commandments or Mosaic law is denying the work of Christ (Messiah) on the cross and is no longer saved by faith. This is not true! The fact is, we are ONLY saved by faith. Obedience is proves that faith is genuine. No one of the way of faith would promote lawlessness. Why would they, so that grace may abound? No!

Lets read:

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1-2

Christians have been arguing this for a very long time and it is my opinion that this has happened as a matter of a spirit of stupor that Elohiym has given them.

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1 Corinthians 15:34

Just as it is written:
“God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day.”
Romans 11:8

The above passage was written concerning Israel but it also applies to the seed of Abraham by faith, meaning spiritual Israel; however, just as with physical Israelites, they had a spirit of stupor as many Christians do today, leading them to lawlessness and following the teaching of man instead of the Word of God, which is Yahusha Ha'Massiach (the Son of God who is the Christ).

The Scripture "Seems" to many to lay before us two roads; two systems of belief where one can interpret the Apostle Paul's letters to live a lifestyle of lawlessness under grace or a lifestyle of obedience under grace. The two systems do not agree and the first accuses the latter of legalism where the latter accuses the first of lawlessness. This is an apparent paradox of message; however, we must remember that God (Elohiym) does not contradict Himself. Since this is the case, we must understand that one party is missing the larger picture of the Scripture. One way is the broad road and we don't want that one because it leads to hell.

For those of you believers who still want to go to hell, here are the Ways to Hell:

  1. Living a lawless life counting on God's grace to cover your sinful lifestyle.

  2. Believing that good works and observing the law will save you by earning your way into the kingdom.

I'm sorry to tell you that neither way will let you enter the kingdom of Elohiym (God). If you read the Bible through and through, these ways never worked out for anyone and they never will.

For those who have ears to hear, let them hear!

Let's begin with a few questions:

  1. Did Elohiym (God) mind whether or not Adam broke His law?

  2. Did Elohiym mind whether or not the Israelites broke His law?

  3. Did Elohiym mind that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah broke the law of righteousness?

  4. Did Messiah (Christ) die on the cross so that lawlessness could continue freely?

  5. Does the blood of Messiah (Christ) cover ongoing lawlessness and if so, why did He and the Gospel and Epistle writers tell us not to sin but to obey the commandments?

  6. Why did Messiah (Christ) tell us to obey all that He commands if we are free from the law?

  7. What "Law" are we free from and in what way are we free?

These are very important questions and we will answer them all next week. In the meantime, I'll leave you with these questions to search out in Scripture.
